The name “carisco” is intrinsically linked to our core competence: creating belts that lead the way in quality and design.
Belts have played a role in myths and legends since ancient times.
The most famous, and for us the most important, of these stories has its origin in ancient Greece: Hephaestus, the god of fire and metalworking in Greek mythology, created a particularly ornate belt for his wife, Aphrodite, the goddess of love. This “charis,” or grace, was not just a consummate work of art, but rendered its wearer utterly irresistible. Its magical powers made any man or even god fall eternally in love with the person wearing it. It is no coincidence that, to this day, we speak of “charisma” to describe a person’s unique gift of being able to captivate and fascinate others.
